Wow! Just wow! I have enjoyed all of Carrie's books, but none as much as Questland. I couldn't put it down and finished it too quickly. It is now tied for favorite with Bannerless for me. Don't let the cover fool you. While this story has fantasy influences and references, it is science fiction. Whatever type of geek you are, you'll find your fandom referenced, but the real magic of this story is the technology. Fantasy becomes real, maybe even too real, through technology. The setting could be year years ago, today, or in a not too distant future (maybe next Thursday, AD). It doesn't matter because the characters and the story make it all feel real. My only regret with this story is that I cannot really go to Questland. I guess, instead, I will have to visit it again and again through rereading this story. Disclaimer: Carrie is a friend of mine, but that did not influence my review. I have never taken the time to review one of her books before, but this one, I want everyone to read!!!
